Melissa Fretwell's life experiences have empowered her to fully embrace her name and its meaning. Growing up on a farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, she learned the importance of caring for family and community. Facing challenges as a student with a different learning style and being queer, she  dedicated 18 years to being a special education teacher and a decade as a hospital and hospice chaplain. Melissa has managed care in spaces that often present obstacles with her quick and efficient skills, while fostering an honest perspective on life, inviting all to Fret Well.
